Suggested Tipping
Tour escort (Coordinator; may or may not act as a guide): $6 or $7 per person per day
Driver (Provides chauffeur services and limited assistance with luggage): $3 per person per day
Local Guide (Offers in-depth information at specific locations. There may be one or many guides along a tour program): $2 per person per half day of sightseeing
Private car tours: $12 to $16 per person per day for each day of sightseeing
Suggested Tipping: Hotels
Porter: 50ยข per bag per person
Wait staff: $1.50 per person (dinner)
Chambermaid: $1.00 per person per day
Suggested Tipping: River Cruises
Nile River Cruises: Suggested amount of $5 to $7 per person per day, which may be left in the tip box at the front desk at the conclusion of the cruise. Additional tips for any staff member who has provided some special service are at your discretion.
